Bob as a teenager started preaching in country churches, local beaches and street meetings.

This led to the opening of a coffee house in the early 70's during the Jesus movement. After being a program director with YFC, Bob and his wife Karen founded IHS in 1983.  IHS proved to be a lauching pad that enabled Bob and Karen to lead many short term mission trips.

It was also during this time that they began broadcasting their first radio program from a station on the island of Multa.

Bob, Karen and their family also travelled through out Canada and the United States conducting seminars on lifestyle witnessing and dramatic evangelistic events at various locations including the Canadian Parliment.

Due to their passion for prayer, they initiated one of the Canada's first prayer marches in Hamilton, Ontario in 1988. This led to the networking of churches together in prayer during the early 1990's in the city of Calgary.

After pastoring in Edmonton, Alberta for the last number of years Bob and KAren have recently launched Touching Heaven, a unique live prayer ministry radio pragram, as well as LovEdmonton, which is networking the local pastors, ministers and churches in churches in prayer and practical demonstrations of Christian love.
